At this point, we are past peak hurricane season and it sure has been a quiet one for the continental US, as Team Dominator predicted. But holy cow, look at this beast…

That’s Hurricane Polo in the Pacific, southwest of Acapulco. This bad boy underwent EXPLOSIVE RAPID INTENSIFICATION overnight and is now at FULL CATEGORY 5 status…just look at how crazy crisp that eye is. The National Hurricane Center is stressing that the track of this one is uncertain.

Kinda quiet on the severe front, unless you count the insane heat across the country…California is forecast to his 108!!

But it’s not the only place getting hammered. Four daily record highs fell yesterday, including one where Brian lives in Austin, TX. And he confirms that yes it was hot.
